Bethesda Softworks Teased “GhostWire: Tokyo” at E3 2019, with The Hit House’s Trailer Music & Sound Design

Shinji Mikami’s studio, Tango Gameworks & Bethesda Softworks debuted a thrillingly enigmatic & sinister teaser trailer for GhostWire: Tokyo, at 2019’s E3. To accomplish just the right tone with simultaneously both stunning & haunting visuals, they turned to The Hit House. Always at the ready, Scott Lee Miller composed a custom trailer music composition “Kaidan,” while 5 time Emmy nominated sound designer Chad J. Hughes, crafted the sound design. The resulting contribution to Bethesda Softworks’ Official GhostWire: Tokyo E3 Teaser Trailer stands for itself, in all its ghostly glory.

GhostWire: Tokyo will be Tango Gameworks’ first new project since The Evil Within 2, for which The Hit House also had the pleasure of contributing to the E3 Announcement Trailer. It also included Scott Lee Miller & William August Hunt work with their cover song arrangement & performance of Duran Duran’s Ordinary World along with sound design by Chad J. Hughes. This newest Ghostwire: Tokyo trailer shows a world where people disappear from moment to moment in public areas, while menacing spirits stalk the eerily empty streets. Then, from the shadows emerges a bow-wielding hero who actively engages the creatures with both arrows & some sort of sorcery. The only thing that will be more fun than creating the music & sound design for this project was, will be getting to immerse ourselves in this actual realm of possibly trans-dimensional phantasmagoria.
