  • HIT HOUSE SOUND DESIGNER CHAD HUGHES EARNS THIRD EMMY AWARD NOMINATION

The Hit House is proud to announce that Chad Hughes, the company’s Sound Designer, has just been nominated for his third Emmy Award in conjunction with the TV series “Nikita.” Hughes has previously been Emmy Award nominated, twice, for his contributions in sound design to the hit TV shows “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” and “Nikita.”

Sally House, the company’s Executive Producer, said, “There are Sound Designers, there are Emmy Award-nominated Sound Designers, and then there’s our own Chad Hughes. His work on shows like ‘CSI’ and ‘Nikita’ speaks for itself. Needless to say, his work for The Hit House does too. Whenever our clients need truly high end sound design concepts and execution, Chad Hughes enters, screen left.”

Adds Hughes, “Sound isn’t something you hear. It’s something you feel. At least, that’s how it affects me.”

    ABOUT CHAD HUGHES:

Chad Hughes is a much in demand Sound Designer responsible for every squeak, rattle, and bang heard at The Hit House. Born in Denver, Colorado, Hughes found a passion for sound early in life as a guitarist and songwriter. His affinity for music production led him to pursue a career in the recording arts. After earning a Recording Arts degree in Florida, he relocated to Los Angeles.

After a short time in LA as a Recording Engineer, Hughes found his way to the world of post-production. As a sound editor on the #1 television drama “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” he learned the craft of sound design. Five years and 122 episodes later, he had amassed a diverse set of skills and working across every genre and form of media, including television, features, commercials, and games.

Hughes’ commercial credits include working on national spots for such major brands as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Cadillac, Toyota, Lexus, AT&T, PlayStation, Nintendo, and Xbox.
