  • RE:ACTION RISE IN 2049

    The Hit House’s track “Payload” drops in the “Blade Runner 2049” campaign.

    Warner Bros. Pictures’ upcoming Blade Runner 2049 arrives soon, but the campaign is already here. Music to bring rise to the darkness & the drama of the future was needed, so they checked with our library & found composer William August Hunt’s “Payload” from our “RE:ACTION RISE” album.

    Directed by Denis Villeneuve, Blade Runner 2049 tells the tale of LAPD Officer K (played by Ryan Gosling), who unearths a dark secret that could plunge the remnants of humanity into utter chaos. In search for answers, his quest for saving those that remain leads him to Rick Deckard (played by Harrison Ford), a former blade runner who mysteriously vanished thirty years ago. The question remains, how will they save the last of the humans, or not? Also featuring performances by Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Lennie James, Dave Bautista, & Jared Leto, Blade Runner 2049 is sure to be an early Fall blockbuster.

  • 2017 CLIO MUSIC AWARDS SHORTLIST “VALERIAN” TRAILER

    Create Advertising Group’s “No Boundaries” trailer is shortlisted by the 2017 CLIO Music Awards.

    For the 2017 CLIO Music Awards, in the Category “Use of Music, Adapted Theatrical Trailer” Create Advertising Group received a shortlist nod on Monday, August 28. Produced by Jillian Novak, edited by Mark Dacey, with Music Director Heather Kreamer, & Music Supervisor Craig Thompson, the Valerian trailer represented the first time The Beatles allowed their music to be reimagined for commercial purposes.

    For the incredible honor of working with The Beatles’ song Because, The Hit House composer Scott Lee Miller created a reimagining of the piece for the 1:25 long trailer of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.

  • Launch of “The Defenders”

    Netflix chose The Hit House’s trailer music for Marvel’s “The Defenders” official trailer.

    Marvel brings action & adventure to comics. Netflix brings seamless streaming to your phone, laptop, or TV. Now The Defenders’ nemesis Alexandra wants to bring light into dark & life where there’s death… So The Hit House composer William August Hunt facilitated spreading the word with his track “Launch,” from our RE:ACTION RISE album, featuring in the official trailer at 0:14-1:27.

    Produced in New York, Marvel’s The Defenders stand united to save us all in their common goal to defend the Big Apple. Starring Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, & Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist, the motley crew of superheroes forms a supersquad to face down the dual threat of Sigourney Weaver portraying Alexandra & Élodie Yung playing Elektra Natchios.   • Sound Designer Chad J. Hughes’ 6th Emmy Nomination

    THE 69TH ANNUAL EMMY AWARDS NOMINATES “GOTHAM” FOR “OUTSTANDING SOUND EDITING FOR A SERIES”

    A huge congratulations to Sound Designer Chad J. Hughes on his incredible 6th Emmy Nomination! The 2017 nomination is for his work in “Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series” for the Gotham episode, “Destiny Calling.”

    What an honor to have all of Chad & his team’s hard work & talent acknowledged in this most prestigious award arena!

    Developed by Bruno Heller, Fox’s Gotham is an American crime drama television series. It is based on characters from the DC Comics & those from the Batman franchise. The primary characters are those of James Gordon & Bruce Wayne with the plot initially focusing on Gordon’s early days in the Gotham City Police Department. Now the series includes the Wayne character & the origin stories of several Batman villains, including Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, Scarecrow, Mr. Freeze, Hugo Strange, Mad Hatter, & Ra’s al Ghul.

  • A JOURNEY THAT CONNECTS US ALL

    To introduce a tale about family & friends, both here & beyond, Disney/Pixar chose The Hit House’s track “Eustace” by composer Martyn Corbet, from our “Tales” album. The rollicking story of Coco, on finding meaning through true passion, unfolds through a brightly animated adventure.

    Directed by Lee Unkrich & co-directed by Adrian Molina, Coco is one brave boy’s journey to unlock the real story behind his family’s history. Voiced by Anthony Gonzalez, the hero Miguel embarks on a quest to find truth through music, despite his family’s age-old ban on music. His entire life, Miguel has dreamt of creating music like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz, voiced by Benjamin Bratt. After a series of fateful missteps he finds himself in the Land of the Dead where he searches for his destiny through the power of music.

  • DOUBLE THE EVIL WITHIN AN ORDINARY WORLD

    The Evil Within 2” Official Trailer & E3 Trailer announcement arrived with The Hit House’s cover song arrangement & performance.

    Don’t get it twisted, we pride ourselves on having warped minds at The Hit House HQ. But when we got a glimpse at Bethesda Softworks’ Evil Within 2 we knew whatever voices we were hearing were a kid’s playground by comparison. Thus, we embarked on a dark, haunted journey that would become the brightest spotlight yet to fall upon The Hit House as a full spectrum music company.

    Tasked by the Nefarious team at Petrol Advertising, our in-house Music Supervisor, Jesse Goodwin, began the hunt for the perfect song to brand the launch. After Duran Duran & Songs Publishing gave a resounding “Hell Yes!” to the idea, sinful composers Scott Lee Miller, William August Hunt, & sound designer Chad J. Hughes dove head first into a world of terror.

    Beginning with an interpolation of the famous melody into a top down custom score of the Gameplay & Story trailers, culminating into a massive horror cover for the full Announcement trailer, Bethesda Softworks was able to roll out a surprise announcement Short Film at E3 2017 of this insanely popular macabre franchise.

    So, while we have been sleeping here with the lights on for a few months, we are also extremely proud. Grab your favorite security blanket, close one eye, & watch the above to begin your journey through hell.

  • UNCHARTED 4 “STEALS” GOLDEN TRAILERS AWARD

    A win in "Best Video Game TV Spot" for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" by Playstation Creative with The Hit House's trailer music.

    The 18th Annual Golden Trailer Awards voted Playstation Creative’s “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” with The Hit House’s music as “Best Video Game TV Spot.”

    In a night of competitive awards & massive amount of talent The Hit House was energized & invigorated by all the nominees & winners. We were fortunate that Sony Playstation’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End marketing was helmed by Playstation Creative who chose to use The Hit House composer Scott Lee Miller’s unique cover of The Pixies’ “Where is My Mind” in their “Heads or Tails” spot (see below).

    The piece represented a wistful homage with stirring strings & the entrancing vocals of Ruby Friedman. A melody reimagined to fit the theme of the visuals, the Golden Trailer Awards judged it to be the perfect accompaniment to the action-adventure third-person shooter’s poignant narrative of love, loss, & ultimate redemption.

    The Hit House as always was humbled to be included in such incredible company as was represented at the 18th Annual GTA’s & looks forward to another productive year, culminating in 2018’s GTA show.

  • NOT ALL WHO WONDER ARE LOST

    The Hit House composer William August Hunt’s “Incandescence” features in “Wonder Woman” spot.

    When Warner Bros. Pictures needed to convey just how much Wonder Woman wowed critics, how truly amazing of a film it was, & how this is the Wonder Woman, full of heart, humor, & heroism, for which the world has been waiting, they turned to The Hit House. Luckily, our composer William August Hunt had created just the right tone in his track “Incandescence” from our Kinetic Re:Action album. And thus our track shone a spotlight on the wonders of the woman.

    Directed by Patty Jenkins, DC Entertainment’s Wonder Woman stars Gal Gadot as Diana, the unconquerable warrior princess of the Amazons. A chance encounter with downed American pilot Steve Trevor, played by Chris Pine, shatters the illusion of her sheltered island paradise & opens her eyes to the massive cataclysm of World War I that rages beyond her sanctuary. Trained to have an unflinching belief in righteousness she ventures forth from the island of Themyscira, to head to London alongside Trevor. In the ugly trenches of the war, facing unspeakable horrors Diana finds her true powers & discovers her destiny.
