This heart-wrenching faith-based tale from the New York Times best selling book, The Shack, by William Paul Young, comes to theaters in 2017. Directed by British filmmaker Stuart Hazeldine & starring Sam Worthington, Academy-Award winner Octavia Spencer, Radha Mitchell, Tim McGraw, Avraham Aviv Alush, Sumire Matsubara, Alice Braga, Graham Greene, & Ryan Robbins, The Shack takes us on a grieving father’s uplifting spiritual journey. Mack Phillips (Sam Worthington) spirals into a deep depression & questions his most personal beliefs after suffering through a terrible family tragedy. In his crisis of faith, he receives a mysterious letter summoning him deep into the Oregon wilderness and an abandoned shack. Mack journeys to the shack, in spite of his misgivings. There he encounters a mysterious trio of strangers led by a supremely spiritual woman named Papa (Octavia Spencer). This not-so chance encounter, helps Mack find important truths that transform his perspective of the tragedy and alter his life for good.
