Lionsgate’s Gods of Egypt Official TV Spot features The Hit House’s “Tectonic.”

The upcoming American action-adventure fantasy film Gods of Egypt, directed by Alex Proyas (I, Robot and The Crow) stars Gerard Butler (300) as the merciless Egyptian god of darkness Set who has usurped Egypt’s throne from the powerful god Horus, played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones). At stake is the survival of mankind which lies in the hands of a mortal hero Bek (Brenton Thwaites), who must ally with Horus to save his love Zaya (Courtney Eaton) and also the ancient world. At one time peaceful and prosperous, the ancient empire has been plunged into chaos and conflict. A vast array of Set’s henchmen consisting of gods, beasts, and demons are dead-set on preventing the triumphant return of Horus to the throne. Played out on an epic backdrop of the heavens and the afterlife, the unlikely duo of Bek and Horus must pass tests of honor and courage in order to thwart the dark plans of their nemesis Set and regain those they love. The ensemble cast is rounded out by Elodie Yung (Hathor, goddess of love), Bryan Brown (Anubis, god of the underworld), Chadwick Boseman (Thoth, god of wisdom), and Geoffrey Rush (Ra, god of the sun).
