“The Evil Within 2” arrived on Friday the 13th & with it The Hit House’s cover of Duran Duran’s “Ordinary World.”

The highly anticipated day of October 13, finally arrived & with it legions of fans of The Evil Within franchise by Bethesda Softworks, were finally able to play The Evil Within 2 on Playstation 4, Xbox One, or PC. By popular request, The Hit House’s cover song arrangement & performance by Scott Lee Miller & William August Hunt of Duran Duran’s “Ordinary World” was also made available on Spotify, iTunes, GooglePlay, & Amazon Music.

Originally heard in the Official E3 Announcement trailer (below), The Hit House’s cover song, in addition to arrangement & performance, included vocals by Matt Goodwin, Scott Lee Miller & one of The Hit House’s youngest team members. Against the backdrop of the creative genius of developer Shinji Mikami & his team from Tango Gameworks, the Duran Duran cover Ordinary World fit the mold perfectly as shepherded by creative team at Petrol Advertising. The Evil Within 2 game is at its heart a story of redemption. Blending psychological thrills into a third-person survival horror video game, the player finds him or herself in the role of Detective Sebastian Castellanos, who must enter a nightmarish world, fueled by the remnants of a once perfect town, to save his daughter Lily. Every corner, twist & turn reveals more horrific hell spawn & evil creatures dead set on ending Sebastian. The only question that remains is, will the player win by skulking in the shadows & attacking, attempting to sprint through the maze of horrors, or enter the arena with guns blazing, but only limited ammunition?

If you have not yet ordered The Evil Within 2, do so immediately. And when you’re looking for a brief respite from the carnage, be sure to check out the game’s soundtrack with The Hit House’s cover of “Ordinary World.”
