“Wonder Woman” & “Game of Thrones” took the SAG Awards Wins for “Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble” in a Motion Picture & Series.

The 24th Annual Screen Actor Guild Awards honored the stunt performers & coordinators from Wonder Woman & Game of Thrones when the results were announced January 21 from the 24th Annual SAG Awards red carpet by SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris & SAG Awards Committee Chair JoBeth Williams. Both nominee groups faced a strong field of competition in the categories of “Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture” & “Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Series” respectively, but were able to overcome for the win.

Warner Bros. Pictures’ Wonder Woman, starring, Gal Gadot, tells the story of Diana, princess of the Amazons as she trains to become an unconquerable warrior. Originally raised on a sheltered island paradise of warrior women, through a twist of fate she meets American pilot, played by Chris Pine, who reveals to her the terrible conflict of World War I that is tearing apart the world outside her cocoon of peaceful innocence. Diana becomes convinced that she can halt the war & thus she departs the only home she has ever known to battle alongside men in a war to end all wars. In the world of mortals through many trials & tribulations she unveils her full powers & discovers ultimate destiny. Set against aggressive scenes of battle & action from an Amazonian perspective to the trenches of Europe’s Great War, the stunt ensemble was able to showcase a breadth & depth of talent that clearly resonated with voting SAG members. Now available on Digital & Blu-Ray, the Wonder Woman campaign used The Hit House’s track “Incandescence,” from our “Kinetic Re:Action” album in one of its spots leading up to its release.

HBO’s Game of Thrones has been a perennial favorite in the fantasy genre that has transcended to world wide mainstream acclaim since it first aired in April of 2011. Based on George R.R. Martin’s best-selling novel series A Song of Ice and Fire, HBO transformed the medieval fantasy epic into what has become “must see TV” for cable subscribers. Playing a deadly game of intrigue, murder, with a generous heaping of lasciviousness, the series shows how varied familial clans vie for control of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, & ultimately seek to sit atop the Iron Throne. Epic battle scenes & frenetic action sequences provided a perfect setting for Game of Thrones’ stunt ensemble to demonstrate their talents, which were ultimately rewarded by SAG voters. All 7 seasons are available to view via streaming for HBO subscribers. The Hit House, a huge GoT fan, was honored to contribute its track, “Propellant,” to Season 7’s Official Game of Thrones Trailer.
